ASK: rebrand a biotech start-up, from identity to website
BACKGROUND Polybion is a biotech firm that pioneered a way to turn food waste into quality leather substitute at an industrial scale. After perfecting the technology and securing the funding, they were ready to compete on the global stage, supplying high end automobile, fashion and apparel brands.
INSIGHT People don’t buy sustainable products: they buy great products.
STRATEGY Seduce and Reassure. We narrowed down the audience to just designers and material engineers at the world’s top firms, ensuring we seduced the former with the possibilities of this material, while reassuring the latter with its performance.
“We are in love with Polybion’s rebrand. We love how we look and how we feel. Chaco has done a magnificent job: there are so many things that are clear to us now that before were not. Choosing Chaco was without a doubt the right decision.”
-Gabriela Dragonné, Head of Communications, Polybion
Besides creating an entirely new brand identity and digital presence to match this objective, Chaco created highly detailed visual assets in 3D instead of shooting them. This provided greater control and infinite possibilities at a fraction of the price.
To ensure the entire organisation around the world always has access to the latest guidelines and assets, the brand guidelines were designed and delivered as a microsite instead of a static document. Launch Polybion Brand Guidelines
“Chaco has exceeded all expectations. We look fwd to continuing this collaboration”
-Axel Gómez-Ortigoza, cofounder, Polybion
